36 Weeks!

We went to our doctors appointment today and he said everything looked good! We start seeing him once a week now until Ava gets here so that is really exciting. Her heartbeat today was 168. Last Saturday we had our first shower and there were so many people there it was amazing and Ava received a lot of stuff, I can't wait to see her in some of the outfits :) Melissa and Tabitha did such an amazing job with my shower!! This Saturday we have a shower at church which should be a lot of fun, I have some really great friends throwing it. I hope to have some new pictures up soon, so please be patient. I hope everyone has enjoyed the blog so far and we look forward to letting everyone know when Ava arrives.

Trying to stay on top of things again! I got Jen in front of the camera last night to make sure we marked week 34. According to the doctors we have 6 weeks to go but in my head I know this pretty girl will be born August 14th so if that really is the case, you can plan on meeting Miss Ava in 5 short weeks!

Below is a picture from last night :

33 weeks!

Wow only 7 weeks to go!! I can't believe Ava is going to be here so soon, we are so excited. We started our birthing classes last night and we got to tour the delivery rooms, they are really nice. Everything has been going really well. We go back to the doctor on July 24th. I would love to say we have everything done but of course I have a long list of things I would like to get done before bringing Ava home, we will just have to see if they all get done or not. I have been feeling great and Ava moves around so much, its amazing. Sorry it has been so long since we have posted anything and we will get a 33 week picture up soon. I can't believe I will be 34 weeks Friday, its very exciting.

Diaper Cake

Well it's true what they say, you do learn something new every day. Coming into this Memorial Day weekend I had never even heard of a diaper cake and now I have experience in the entire creation of one. My wonderful mom and Jen worked on this beauty for hours! The hour drive home was also very trick as this thing is not meant for highway travel!

Ava, Jen & the giants

Back again from another arena football game in Oklahoma City. Normally you can see how much bigger Ava is getting hanging out in Jen's tummy but next to these giants, she seems very small! If you can believe it, the guy in the middle picture is on crutches and it about 5 inches taller when he isn't having to lean over!

We have our final ultrasound coming up on Wednesday at our actual doctor's office and we're both very anxious to see our little girl again! It's crazy to think that in 14 weeks she'll be here! There's so much to do!

25 Weeks

This was a busy week for us! I got a call Tuesday from Barbara at Ultrasound Unlimited and she wanted us to come in for a 4-D ultrasound because Fox 25 was going to interview her the next day! So we went in and got lots of great pictures, you can watch the video below :) Ava of course moved the entire time, it still amazes me how much such a little person can kick. Barbara said she weights about 1 pound 10 ounces so she is growing really good. It has been storming a lot lately as most of you know so that has kept me up at night plus that is when Ava seems to be most active but you know what I love it. We went to dinner with some friends from church Friday night and Saturday we were gone all day, shopping for clothes, flowers and of course mother's day gifts. Saturday night we took Ava to her first baseball game, the Redhawks didn't play so well but it was still fun to watch. I grew up watching the Rangers, my parents took me when I was just a baby in my car seat. So I have always enjoyed it. Last week we had a doctors appointment and I am happy to say that I have only gained 9.2 pounds in my 6 months of being pregnant, we still have 3 months to go but I was proud of myself for that.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers reading!! I can't believe that next year I will have Ava here to really celebrate Mother's Day. Regan and I did however celebrate this year too. He bought me the dress in the picture along with some other clothes I was really needing. My favorite gift though was the Willow Tree figurine he gave me, a woman expecting. It is just beautiful and I love it, it is on a shelf in the living room. Today was a great Mother's Day and I look forward to many many more to come. Next year on Mother's Day we plan on dedicating Ava at our church like so many parents do on Mother's Day.

24 Weeks!

Here Jen is on a WINDY day marking 24 weeks through the pregnancy! I finally got to really feel Ava kick a couple of days ago, it was wild! I just put my hand on Jen's belly and wham! Ava kicked right where I was holding, it is such a great feeling when you finally get to feel it!

Ava got her first experience with real Oklahoma weather today, Jen was driving home from work and didn't even realize she was in a tornado warning that ended up doing quite a bit of damage not more than a mile from our house. It's sad that we aren't even surprised by the storms anymore.

Until next week!

Ultrasound Video

Made another trip to see Barbara at Ultrasound Unlimited! After a little bit Ava decided to cooperate and we were able to get some cute shots of her! Check the video out :

23 Weeks, 17 to go!

Don't have a whole lot of news since last week. Ava made her second arena football game, I'm not sure how much, if any, she kicked but I know the Yard Dawgz didn't look so good.

We have our next Dr's appt. coming up this Thursday, probably just going to get to listen to the little heartbeat to make sure everything is going as planned and I don't see why it wouldn't be! Unless it could have something to do with Jen's uncanny knack for garage sale'ing for an entire day.

I'm a little scared to think that there is soon to be 2 women in this house to gang up on me.

22 Weeks

21 Weeks

Well here we are at week 21! I think the overall freakout mode is becoming full time excitement which is long overdue.

We almost have Ava's room painted which we'll post up as soon as its ready! It came out so much cooler than even we expected.

The logo I created above is me planning ahead for Ava's fashion line that she is bound to have at some point. Leave it to dad to be planning ahead :).

Also thank you all for your comments on the guestbook! We look forward to reading them day after day! More to come soon, maybe some completed nursery pictures tomorrow!

20 Weeks

I am in Ava's partially painted nursery. We took her to her first Yard Dawgz game (arena football) Sat. night, she kicked the whole time, I wonder if that means she didn't like it!?!? We heard her heartbeat again at the doctors office, it was much easier to find this time which is a huge relief. Hopefully we will have her room done this week so we can get the crib together.

18 Weeks

Happy Easter! I finally started feeling Ava move around a little and it is so amazing, she is getting bigger everyday. We bought a crib and I have started painting her room although it isn't getting done as fast as I hoped. I have bought her some clothes too, I sure hope she likes pink!!

17 Weeks! It's a girl!

16 Weeks

We finally got to hear our baby's heartbeat on Thursday, it was amazing! It was 165 bpm, the doctor said our baby was moving around a lot so it took a little bit to find. We are going to find out if we are having a boy or girl this Thursday, March 13th so stay tuned :)

14 Weeks

Only 26 weeks to go :) We have our next dr. appointment next week on March 6th. We get to hear the heartbeat so we are really excited about that! We are having an ultrasound done at Ultrasound Unlimited on March 13th to find out what we are having, so check back to find out. We also scheduled our first session of baby care classes which will be June 7th and 14th then in July we will go to birthing classes.

February 15th, 13 weeks!

Although no one can really tell that I'm pregnant yet, Regan and I can tell! It is very exciting to see my stomach sticking out just a little bit further each week. I am proud to say I can still wear all my pants, I just can't button them. Ha ha I make it work. We are anxiously awaiting our next doctors appointment which is 3 weeks away and we will finally get to hear the heartbeat. New picture of me below, I have a new hair cut!

12 Weeks

February 7, 2008

We meet Dr. Kallenberger today and we really liked him. We got to see our beautiful baby again too! We didn't get to hear the heart beat yet he said it was still a little early. Our baby is now 5.26 cm where as two weeks ago he/she was 3.03cm. Wow how they grow. He/she is very active too, moving all over the place.

Here I am at 11 weeks

January 26, 2008

Here is Jen at 10 weeks. We're going to add pictures each week of the baby's progression as the little one grows!
